Medieval Lit Research paper ideas (After Ivanhoe)

I am still working on some ideas, but Matthew Holmes asked to have these on the blog so as you read Ivanhoe, you may keep these in mind.

1. Research and discuss the theme of chilvary in Medival Literature. (Use one or more of our selections)
What are the character's opinions about chilvary? How does he/she come to this conclusion?
What are the ideals of chilvary? Are they displayed in your slections?

2. Compare and contrast the characteristics of one of our heroes to that of another medieval character or personality. How are they alike? How are they different? Use specifics from the texts and your own research.

3. Compare and contrast themes in Beowulf, Robin Hood and Ivanhoe to that of other "hero" based writing. This may include modern day.

This paper should be 2500-3000 words. It should be in MLA format and should follow the 80/20 rule. This means no more than 20% of your paper should be quotes.
