Homework:

Please read Chapters 2 in BJU's US History. We will do the terms in class again.
Please make sure your notes for Chapter 1 are complete.

We will work with maps in class, so please bring colored pencils.

Bluffton Thursday p.m. American History and Literature

Vocabulary: You will have a quiz on the new Greek and Latin roots plus the ten from last week.
                      There will be 20 in all.


Literature: Read Chapters 7-15 in The Scarlet Letter.

History: Read Chapter 2 in BJU's US History. 
              Make sure that your terms are complete from Chapter 1.

Vocabulary: Add the ten new Greek and Latin roots to your study list this week. We will quiz on all
                     20.

Literature: Spend 15-30 minutes researching the Egyptian's obsession with the afterlife.
                   Read the new myths and write a short reaction for both.
                   " The Greek Princess" and " The Prince and the Sphinx"

History: Read Chapters 5-9 in SWB's Ancient History. Write 5-10 bullets for each chapter.
              Please make sure your study sheet is complete( This is the one that I gave you in class).

Vocabulary: Quiz on the Latin and Greek roots from both weeks. They are listed on vocabulary posts.

Literature: Read Chapters 7-15 in the Scarlet Letter. Pay special attention to the language and the
                   change in Chillingworth.

Tuesday a.m. Ancient Literature and History

Vocabulary: Quiz on both list of Greek and Latin roots. They are listed on the vocabulary post.

 Literature: Read " The Greek Princess" and " The Prince and the Sphinx".
                   Write a short reaction to each. These need to stay in your notebook for reference.
                   Spend at least 15-30 minutes researching the Egyptian's obsession with the afterlife.
                   Come to class prepared to discuss it.


History: Read Chapters 5-9 in SWB's Ancient History. Record at least 5 facts for each chapter.
              Complete the study sheet from class. This should be in your notebook.
