Thursday p.m. American Literature and History

I will miss seeing you today. I was sad to cancel the class.

Vocabulary: You will have no quiz this week. I will review the new roots in class.

Literature: I would like for us to read one more of Emerson's essays. This one is called Power.
Go to the website called www.emersoncentral.com and find the texts for the Conduct of Life.
Read the essay on Power. We will look at all three next week.

History: Please make sure that you have read both chapters 11 and 12 of BJU US History. We will review with study sheets next week.

Thursday a.m. Ancient Literature and History

Vocabulary: No quiz this week. I will review the new roots next week.

Literature: Read Books 5-7 in The Aeneid.  Please be thinking of your own epic that you will write in a few weeks.

History: Read Chapters 46 and 47. Make bullet points for each chapter. I will have study sheets for you in class.
Your projects are due. We will present them in class. Please do not forget that you need a Works Cited page.

Literature:  Read Books 5-7 of The Aeneid.  Begin thinking about your own epic. It should exhibit some of the classic signs of an epic.

History: Read Chapters 47 and 48 of SWB's Ancient History. Make 6-7 bullets for each chapter.
Projects are due next week!!!
