Friday Medieval History and Lit

History: Complete the take home test. Make sure that you answer in a thorough manner.
               You may use you book.

Literature: Finish reading the play.
                   Choose one of the following and write a 500-600 word essay about Hamlet: 
                   1. Describe the inward and outward conflicts of Hamlet. Use examples form the play.
                   2. Explain the roles of Gertrude and Ophelia in Hamlet. Give specific examples.
                   3. Is Hamlet a tragedy of revenge? Why or why not?
                  
Please keep all writing in MLA format.

Monday/ Thursday American History and Literature

History: Complete take home test. Read as much of Chapter 21 as possible.
               YOu may use your book.
Literature: Write a 500-600 word essay on one of the following:( MLA format)
                    1. Who is the main character of the novel My Antonia? Support your answer.
                    2. Why do you think that Cather tells her story from the point of view of a man?
                    3. How does the setting afffect the novel? Remember setting is both time and place.

Wednesday p.m. Medieval Literature

Literature:
Read Acts 4 and 5 of Hamlet.
Bring a copy of Midsummer Night's Dream to class. If you do not own one yet, I may be able to provide what you need.

Wednesday a.m. American Literature

 Literature: Read to Chapter 32 in Huck Finn.

 Amy Fitzgerald is working on the date for the Charleston field trip. Please be patient with us a few more days. May is crazy and we are trying to work around the schedule of many events.

Tuesday a.m. Medieval Literature

Read Acts 4 and 5 of Hamlet.
Bring a copy of Midsummer to class. If you do not have a copy, I may be able to provide one.
Just let me know if you need it.

Monday/ Thursday American History and Lit

Literature: Bring your copy of My Antonia to class.
History: Read Chapter 20 and answer all section reviews.

Friday Medieval History and Literature

Literature: Read Acts 2 and 3 of Hamlet.
                   We will be using Midsummer next week. At this point, do not buy a copy. I will
                    try to provide what we will need.

History: Read Chapters 61, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, and 69.
              W e are skipping 62 and 68.
